Events:Grants: An Orientation for Nonprofit Organizations September 16, 2010 at 10:30am
Pastor Pariseau highly recommends attending this amazing free resource if you have started or would like to start a nonprofit organization. Learn how to
identify prospective funders. Find out how the Grants Resource Center at the Columbus Metropolitan Library can help you become a more effective grant researcher. This is hosted at the Main branch of the
Columbus Metropolitan Library in downtown Columbus (96 Grant Avenue, Columbus, OH 43215). This event is held in the Main Library's SBN Training Loft. If you are interested but are unable to make this date,
you can call 645-2ASK for information on monthly meeting dates or even individual and group appointments to be scheduled outside the normal meeting times. Please contact us
for Parenting Pathways Group Meeting times. If you've been involved with the childrens services system or would like to check out our group,
please join us for refreshments and a time of support, healing and guidance. Parent Group: This is an open group of parents and mentors who come together once a week to
support and encourage one another in the daily challenges of raising our children and other problems in life. This group consists of both parents who have successfully "graduated" from the Child
Protective Services (CPS), and those parents who are still struggling with CPS requirements. All parents are invited to be part of this group. Parent to Parent Mentor: The heart of the program
is a parent-to-parent match of experienced parents who have learned by striving through the CPS programs with those parents who are in need of support while working through the CPS process. This mentoring
provides information, support and encouragement to those parents and caregivers experiencing frustration, anger, and confusion trying to complete the CPS requirements. Parent Leadership:
Parenting Pathways is a person-centered program, which is parent leadership based. The healing and growth will evolve naturally through the parent to parent mentorship program which offers support and
advocacy for each individual family. Reunification: The ultimate goal of the Parenting Pathways is successful reunification. By implementing the skills and support received from this program our
hope is that families will be reunited, the family structure will be strengthened, and the necessary healing will begin.
