Angel Food Ministries
Crossroads is proud to be a host site working in conjunction with Angel Food Ministries. Each month's grocery menu is different and consists of delicious fresh, frozen and packaged food that is purchased from the nation's top food suppliers, providing quality, nutritious food at significant discounts - the food is worth twice what you spend! This a practical way to give all of us a "hand up" during difficult times.

Ordering through our Angel Food host site will not only provide ease, convenience and value for your family, but also provides blessings for our church. You can contribute to the Crossroads Community Harvest Food Pantry by making an order and not picking it up.  All orders not picked up will be donated to the food pantry.

Look over the menu now and please consider making an order today. Angel Food Ministries is a non-profit, non-denominational organization dedicated to providing food relief and financial support to communities throughout the United States that has been operating since 1994 and feeds over 500,000 families a month in 35 states. Country Hands Inner-City Youth Group To Take a Unique Annual Trip
In a few weeks, we will be taking our second trip with our Country Hands ministry youth group down to the beautiful hills of southeastern Ohio. Taking inner-city kids to the country is so healing and provides a much needed getaway for them, as well as exposing them to the pure serenity, fun and enjoyment in a rural setting, which they may never otherwise get a chance to experience. These are children who see crime, drugs and hardship on an everyday basis in their lives, and this is something that in the past, they've gained so much from. If you know if any kids that would benefit from this trip, please contact the church for more information, we'd love to have them join us. If you can, donate to this worth while cause through the church, and help bring joy into a child's life by supporting this unique adventure!

Parents need to learn to say no, set limits
Pastor Cory has once again been featured in Columbus Parent Magazine. The article discusses the importance of being able to set limits and say no, and is full of useful tips for parents. Check it out!

Our dream of a larger facility is a dream no more! To the right is a photo of the new building located at 1084 Brentnell Avenue, where we are now holding meetings. God is good, to Him be the glory! More to come ASAP on this exciting developement!

GOOD NEWS - WERE MOVING!!!!!!!
With much prayer, we just got word that we got the building we have been praying for! This will fit our needs in the Phaze 2 of building God's church and furthering our ministry outreaches, such as Parenting Pathways. We are so excited that we will be able to help more people in the inner city. We still need your help! Please keep giving what ever God puts on your heart. Every dollar counts and makes an impact to those lost and hurting in our efforts.

As we plan to move into the new 2888 square foot facility, we are looking for other ways to use the building to be cost effective. We are looking into a daycare to operate out of the facility, as well as a full time kitchen café. We are also considering leasing affordable use of our facilities to other ministries (affordability of meeting space for growing ministries is a huge obstacle here in Columbus). If you have anything else in mind that we could do to increase the cost effectiveness of the space, please contact us and to share your ideas.

We will be opening the Bible College this spring. It will be called Crossroads World Bible College.

We will be housing our Financial University out of the new facility, too.

We will give more details on the new building and programs planned when all is finalized, but in the meantime, keep us in prayer in this endeavor.

New Corporate Partners
We welcome CAPA (The Columbus Association for the Performing Arts) as one of our supporting corporate partners. CAPA has given CrossroadsWCC tickets to "A Christmas Carol" and plan to give more tickets to other great shows as the year goes on. Please stay tuned to the events page for the times and details and when you see them, let us know if you'd like to attend with us. This helps us to help the inner-city kids and families to experience another side of life in theater, the arts and music. We want to thank CAPA for taking time to care for the inner-city kids and families and for their generous donations.

If you are a corporation, business or church, and you want to partner up with Crossroads World Christian Center Church, and its many life-changing outreaches such as Parenting Pathways, please call the office for details in how you can give to help our inner-city kids and families.

A Word from the C.E.O. & Founder
For such a time as this!!!!!

We had a wonderful time in Jackson County, Ohio in November 2007 with the ministry Country Hands (more on this developing ministry soon!), taking a group of inner city kids to the hills of southeast Ohio, along with the Divine Daughters of Destiny the CrossKidz group, and some of the families from CrossroadsWCC. Our church went down for the weekend to experience God in his natural state. The trees and hills made it a wonderful way for our inner city kids to feel God.

Our hosts, Pastor Jim Mullet and the congregational families at Hillside Chapel Church, gave us a warm welcome with a bonfire. We roasted hotdogs over the fire and the kids had a ball running up and down the steep hills. The people there were very warm, loving and helpful, and they took the time to talk and listen to the kids. We also ate popcorn that was cooked in a large black kettle over the bonfire and it was the best tasting popcorn I ever had! After the bonfire cookout, the owners of the local skating rink invited us to come and skate. It was the highlight of the kids' weekend, they really enjoyed themselves skating, flying all around the rink while Pastor Maurice tried to keep up with them! Pastor Cory was busy trying not to fall! It was very exciting to see the kids having such a great time being out of the city, where life for them is a lot tougher, daily facing the challenges of an inner city kid.

The next day, we took over the service of Hillside with praising! We saw two people get saved that day, one person just passing on the side of the road and for some reason had to come in and give his life to God, and another young lady stepped up and asked to give her life to the Lord. She also got baptized, praise God! That same day, we all went out to Pastor Jim's house and the kids got to witness this awesome move of God, as this young lady gave herself to Christ.

The kids where very impressed with Pastor Jim's house, which he built by hand. It is an underground house that he built for his family with some help from his friend, the sweat from his brow and the love for his family to give them something they will enjoy for a life time.

In the evening we went to Pastor Rob Ervin's church, World Outreach Ministries in Wellston, Ohio where the anointing is truly on this man of God. As we walked into the building, we were greeted and hugged by so many people welcoming us to their church, by the time we reached our seats we must have been welcomed 50 times and it did not stop there! People who were coming into the church after we sat down came and welcomed us, too! The music was awesome; it really brought you into a place of worship

I had dreamed one day that I would be asked to come to speak at World Outreach Ministries; I just had no idea that it would be that night! But God has a reason for everything He does. I was unprepared and not knowing what to say, so I did what the Bible says and leaned not to my own understanding. I let Him guide my words. As Pastor Rob gave me the microphone, I let God tell my story.

At the end of my testimony, Pastor Rob Ervin came and laid hands on myself and Pastor Maurice and prophesied over us that CrossroadsWCC will be moving into Phase 3 of our building plan. Did you catch that? Not Phase 2, as we've been planning, but Phase 3 – a permanent building of our own! He told us that we now have a Kingdom Connection with our Ministries and that what we are doing up here in the inner city for the children is important. As we were leaving, the church planted an offering in our hands.

In this season of Thanksgiving, this made me see and reflect on the fact that God places people in your life for a reason. Pastor Jim Mullet was my childhood pastor. Pastor Rob Ervin was a friend of mine when I was in school and he had the sweetest 3 point shot I've ever seen.

Pastor Jim said to me that our Ministries and the church is growing and touching lives and he doesn't see how he can be of any more help. I wanted to say this to him but could not find the right words, so I'll include it here in the hope that he reads it: the seeds you planted in me when I was a young, hyper, non-attentive little boy are being used for such a time as this; for you are touching yet another generation and many different cultures of people, all because you took the time to care for one – me.

I look forward to strengthening our Kingdom Connection with Pastor Rob Ervin and The World Outreach Ministries congregational family, too. It was truly a blessing sharing what God has given to me, my friends, my family and my hometown with all of you at The Hillside Chapel and World Outreach Ministries. We're looking forward to doing it again, and we truly thank God for you!

May God richly bless you and yours always,
Pastor Cory P. Pariseau

Parenting Pathways group members were honored to give an hour long presentation at the Making Connections Training Conference for Specialized Foster Parents & thier Social Workers on March 24, 2007, which was sponsored by the Buckeye Ranch. We were honored to speak to many professionals in the social services fields, including case workers, mentors, foster parents and others about our personal experiences and insights with being involved with Childrens Services. The group received a standing ovation and we've been preliminarily invited to speak at even more events that are in the planning stages now. Check back to the Events page soon for details as they become available!
